This role demands a synergy of design acumen, procurement expertise, and client communication to ensure the delivery of projects that exemplify our standards. Part time or Full time available.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Consultation: Collaborate with clients to finalize selections, ensuring congruence with architectural plans. This includes fixtures, flooring options, sinks, and more.
  2. Blueprint Review: Analyze architectural blueprints, ensuring that design and structural elements are compatible with client selections.
  3. Procurement Management: Oversee the full spectrum of the procurement process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  4. Financial Reporting: Generate precise monthly financial statements from vendor accounts, cross-checking with project invoices and budgets to ensure financial congruence.
  5. Cost Optimization: Engage in value engineering efforts, identifying design solutions that achieve aesthetic goals while remaining cost-effective.
  6. Selections Archiving: Streamline the collection, documentation, and organization of client selections, ensuring their timely integration into our execution timeline.
  7. Virtual Engagements: Conduct virtual design consultations and meetings using platforms such as Zoom to ensure seamless communication and project continuity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in design coordination or a related role within the construction domain.
  • Proficiency in interpreting architectural blueprints.
  • A solid background in financial oversight and cost optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools for remote consultations, financial management, and document archiving.

Project Manager

Commonwealth Contractors accepts applications for meticulous and results-driven Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be at the nexus of communication between clients, subcontractors, and our in-house team, ensuring smooth and timely project execution that meets our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Subcontractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and intake new subcontractors. Process and manage agreements while ensuring that their work aligns with our standards and project specifications.
  2. Project Planning & Execution: Develop, maintain, and adjust project timelines and schedules. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  3. Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring optimal cost-efficiency, and monitor all expenses. Actively seek opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality.
  4. Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding project status, changes, and any arising issues. Ensure consistent client satisfaction by providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  5. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and status reports.
  6. Team Coordination: Work closely with the site supervisor, design team, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration for seamless project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills.

Project Principal

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Oversight: Actively supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects progress according to the timeline, within budget, and adhering to quality standards.
  2. Team Management: Lead, guide, and manage on-site teams, ensuring efficient deployment of labor and effective problem-solving on the ground.
  3. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
  4. Client Liaison: Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project
  5. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the site's daily activities, any deviations from the planned course, and relevant site conditions. Ensure that all construction practices comply with statutory requirements.
  6. Material Management: Oversee the storage, allocation, and usage of materials, ensuring minimal wastage and optimal efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction site supervision or a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Project Estimator

Commonwealth Contractors is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Evaluation: Conduct on-site assessments of prospective projects, collecting necessary data to produce accurate estimates.
  2. Change Order Management: Process and validate change orders, ensuring they align with client needs and project feasibility.
  3. Material Takeoffs: Methodically analyze blueprints and design documents to ascertain all required materials, from foundational elements to finishing touches.
  4. Material Procurement: Spearhead the material ordering process, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal cost efficiency.
  5. Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients, answering queries about estimates, offering clarifications, and ensuring transparency throughout the estimation process.
  6. Collaborative Engagement: Work in tandem with the design, procurement, and execution teams, ensuring all estimates align with project vision and operational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and the ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Proven track record of producing accurate estimates that cater to both client budgets and quality standards.
